For the last 34 years, the F/A-18A/B/C/D “Legacy” Hornet has demonstrated Naval Aviation precision, beauty, and strength across the world. The Legacy Hornet will forever live on as this platform has continued to inspire people throughout each maneuver, every demonstration, numerous flyovers, dedication flights, and nationwide tours.

Although their chapter is coming to an end, a new chapter in Blue Angels history is just beginning. The Legacy Hornet is passing the torch of Naval Aviation Demonstration Excellence to the slightly larger and more powerful F/A-18E/F Super Hornet in 2021.

I am so grateful to have seen these beauties roar over our local area here along the Emerald Coast and at many airshows across the United States. Having had the privilege of connecting with many members of the Blue Angels team especially in these past two years, it’s been amazing being able to share my passion for photography with them and capture some of the most incredible and one of a kind moments in Blue Angels history.

To the Blue Angel sailors that are closing their chapter with the team, we have absolutely enjoyed seeing your hard work, dedication, precision, and inspiration shine throughout the aviation world! The end is here but the next journey is just getting started.

Hooyah and Long Live the Legacy!
