It's been a long, boring, stressful year for me, for everyone. However, when I heard that the Sanford airshow would be proceeding safely less than two hours away from me, my spirits began to rise. With multiple safety precautions and a lot of funding, the threat of cancellation was bypassed, and The Space and Air Show at Sanford International Airport was allowed to proceed.

It's safe to say it was a huge success! It was great reconnecting with old friends and meeting new ones. The organizers were able to bring in every Air Combat Command Demo team for an epic Heritage Flight, as well as the USAF Thunderbirds. That's not all, we were also able to watch the SNJ-flying Geico Skytypers, the beautiful B-25 Mitchell "Panchito" as well as Mike Wiskus flying for Lucas Oil. The 920th Rescue Wing also swung by from neighboring Patrick Air Force Base near Cocoa Beach, Florida. The C-130s they brought were able to simulate refueling HH-60 Pave Hawks, and search and rescue and even dropped the SOCOM Paracommandos high overhead to bring in our nation's colors. Beautiful weather on Saturday brought in a lot of blue skies, while Sunday was overcast bringing in a lot of vape, but the weekend as a whole brought in nothing but smiles from everyone involved.
