Urbana Lights

In 2019, Full Disc Aviation friend and collaborator, Courtney Caillouet, brought us the story about the Grimes Flying Lab Foundation and their beautifully restored Beechcraft C-45H/Model 18 (https://www.fulldiscaviation.com/stories/2019/2/16/flying-lab). Courtney wanted to follow up his story with a photoshoot that displayed the red, white, and blue livery Beechcraft, and its array of aircraft lights in the glory of the night. Full Disc Aviation’s Zulu joined Courtney at the Grimes Flying Lab Foundation Museum located at Grimes Field in Urbana, Ohio. The aircraft was towed into position and cameras positioned as the sun set. Once the natural lighting disappeared, the artificial lights were turned on and the Flying Lab came to life. With both engines turning, the Flying Lab light show began.

Full Disc Aviation wishes to thank the Grimes, Flying Lab Foundation, Roger and Jessica Deere and lighting operator Dave Youtz for making this night engine run up possible.
